Extra Information and Frequently Asked Questions

  • What Mapac or Beats stock:
Sweatshirts, blue polo shirts, blue cardigans and white PE polo shirts, all of which bear the school emblem, optional blue winter coats, waterproofs, bookbags and PE bags. The grey ‘bottom half’ items (trousers, shorts, pinafores and skirts) and the girls’ light blue and white check or stripe summer dresses can be purchased from Mapac or you may choose to purchase these elsewhere. White, grey or black socks please. Dresses and skirts can be worn with grey, white or blue tights.
  • PE Kit:
PE t-shirt and/or hooded sweatshirt with logo, black shorts or black or navy tracksuit bottoms. Comfortable trainers that are suitable for all weathers outdoors.
  • Forest School:
Children will be taking part in exciting forest school activities. Please make sure they have appropriate warm clothing and footwear (such as welly boots) for this.
  • What Footwear should my child wear?
Sensible, black footwear for uniform (no trainers or open-toed sandals please).
  • Hair:
Long hair should be tied back to minimise the spread of head lice and for practical reasons in lessons. No oversized hair accessories please, hairbands and bows are fine but please make sure they are appropriate for the school environment.
  • How many sets of clothes will my child need?
At least two sets depending on your child, you may need more.  You will only need one set of PE kit as this can remain on your child’s peg until half-term.  Your child will also need a blue book bag and a PE bag.
  • Do I need to label all the items?
Yes. Everyone wears the same uniform so it is really important to label everything – including shoes and bags. If you don’t, items are likely to get lost and you’ll have the expense and inconvenience of replacing things when they go missing.
