Milk
Milk is provided free of charge for all children attending Nursery. Milk for children in the Infant School is available at a small, termly cost and is subsidised by the Rural Payments Agency and the European Union. It needs to be ordered and paid for in advance. Children are not allowed to bring in cartons of milk unless it is part of their packed lunch. For children who do not drink milk, water is available in the classrooms.
Lunch
Our school is a healthy school and healthy eating is an essential part of our school. School meals are cooked on the premises by staff from our catering contractor Herts Catering Ltd (HCL). They are well balanced and healthy and freshly made. There is a choice of two hot meals, one of which is vegetarian, a jacket potato option or a cold sandwich option; children can help themselves to a daily salad bar. All food allergies must be registered directly with HCL. Please note we are a NUT FREE school and therefore must request that home packed lunches do not contain any nut products or products which may contain traces of nuts.
